For 6″ (15 cm) pot, use 1-2 plants per pot. Ready in 9-13 weeks.
For 10″ (25 cm) hanging baskets, use 3-4 plants. Ready in 12-14 weeks. PINCHING:
First pinching is done about 4 weeks after rooting while plants are still in tray.
Additional pinching is needed only if growth overstretches, or if flowering starts too early.
Avoid late pinching as it delays flowering and marketing.
LIGHT INTENSITY: Full sunlight to partial shade (min. 5000fc / 50000 lux).
Supplement lighting should be applied during short days, up to 14-16 hours.

FERTILIZATION: Apply constant feed program with a balanced fertilizer. Nitrogen levels of 250-300 ppm,
and average levels of micronutrients with slightly higher levels of Iron, that keeps the foliage green.
Maintain low pH level, 5.2-5.8, to avoid iron deficiencies.
IRRIGATION: Keep moist, but not over watered, to prevent root damage.
Best maintained on the dry side, but avoid drying-out as it will cause a non uniformed crop and leaf yellowing.
Leach periodically to prevent salt accumulation.
MEDIUM: Use a well-drained disease-free potting mix.
pH 5.5 – 6.0, EC 0.6 – 0.9.
GROWTH REGULATORS: Optional. Not necessary under high light intensities.
1-3 sprays of ALAR (B-Nine) 2 gr/L according to required plant size.
DISEASES & PEST CONTROL:
Insects: Mites, Whiteflies, Aphids and Leaf Miners.
A standard preventative spray program is sufficient to control most pests.
Disease: Botrytis, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Powdery Mildew. Avoid excessive moisture on foliage, to prevent botrytis.
